Jay Kananur

Jay Kananur is an amateur actor and singer residing in Washington DC metro. Jay has been a member of the amateur drama team in the DC area for over 7 years. He started performing in dramas at a very young age while in elementary school, growing up in Bangalore, India.  He enacted in multiple dramas at school such as Raktha Ratri, Babruvahana, Kambaniya Kuyilu’ to name a few.  Jay was the founding member of Sanchaya, our amateur theater group that was formed in 1987 in Bangalore and performed in few well known Kannada plays.   

 

Since moving to US in 1991, Jay has performed in multiple Kannada plays in the Boston and Washington DC Metro.  Jay other hobbies include singing, hiking and reading.
